Three KATS lawyers ranked by Chambers 2018
We are delighted to announce that Chambers and Partners Global Guide to the World’s Leading Law Firms (the most renowned legal directory in the world) has released its’ global legal rankings. Three practitioners on the KATS team were acknowledged:
- John Katende was lauded as a Senior Statesman and an ‘important reference in the market’ by sources. The Publication states that he is noted for his vast experience in the corporate and commercial spheres, and also attracts noteworthy praise for his academic contributions to the sector.
- Professor Edward Fredrick Ssempebwa was also recognized as a Senior Statesman, who is described as “one of the most distinguished names in the market”. The Publication further notes that the Professor is recognized for his litigation expertise and that he is highly experienced in tax and constitutional law matters.
- The Publication remarked that Sim Katende heads the firm’s corporate and commercial practice. He is described by market commentators as
a very smart and exceptionally intelligent lawyer
who maintains a strong practice advising key international clients on high value cross-border transactions.
Chambers ranks the lawyers by carrying out thousands of in-depth interviews with clients in order to assess the reputations and expertise of business lawyers worldwide.
