Guide to Mining in Africa, 2019, now available

KATS, as part of LEXAfrica, (the largest legal network in Africa) has released the updated Guide to Mining in Africa.

LEXAfrica comprises of leading law practices in 28 African countries with access to all 54 countries on the continent and, over 600 lawyers across Africa and counting.

The network arose from a gap in the market for a one stop centre for African law firms to provide clients (both local and international) with legal and business advice in whichever jurisdiction they find themselves, particularly in relation to expanding Africa-to-Africa business. It is recognised as a Leading Network by Chambers and Partners: Guide to the World’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

Africa is renowned worldwide for its untapped mineral resources. Mining is a key sector in many African countries and a sound understanding of the mining regulatory framework is vital for investors especially as each country has its own local laws, customs, practices and guidelines.

The LEXAfrica Mining Guide distills all that information for you and is country specific. It is intended to provide a useful and practical summary of relevant mining laws. You’re welcome!
