KATS named top law firm in Uganda by The C.E.O Magazine
KATS was named the top law firm in Uganda by Kyamutetera Holdings in partnership with the CEO Magazine and the Firm Limited – a communications firm in the country on the 21st of June, 2018,.
There are seven hundred and seventy four (774) law firms approved by the Law Council to offer legal services in Uganda, as at 20th September, 2017. Of those firms, Kyamutetera compiled a list of the top 25 firms in Uganda.
The criteria for determining the ranking of the law firms by Kyamutetera was:

- The experience, influence and impact of the firm’s senior partners

- Diversity of practice areas

- Nature of clients and assignments handled

- The firm’s affiliations to global law firms

- Accolades and awards won by the firm by IFLR1000 Financial and Corporate Guide, Chambers and Partners: Global Guide to the world’s leading lawyers for business, the Legal 500 EMEA 2018.

- The revenues of the firms
- Professional input from at least 10 top lawyers
Based on the aforementioned benchmarks, Katende Ssempebwa emerged the top law firm in the country.
