    Alice Namuli Blazevic is an Associate Partner at the Firm in the Transactional & Advisory Department.

    She has over eleven (11) years' experience in Commercial Transactions and Alternative Dispute Resolution with a keen interest in Mediation and Arbitration. She always applies a business mind when resolving commercial disputes. She has been involved in a number of Mergers & Acquisitions and Anti-trust/ Competition Law matters. She has advised various large multinational ventures within Uganda, East Africa, South and West Africa, on regulatory compliance.

    Furthermore, Alice has also advised numerous clients in the Energy sector (Oil & Gas law), on banking and financial services, in the tobacco industry, on Intellectual Property, legislative drafting as well as various sectors of the Advertising and Aviation industries.

    Alice has also acted as a legal consultant in a number of Government and World Bank advisory projects majorly handling the regulatory aspects of the transactions. A case in point is the ongoing Government of Uganda and the World Bank project; upgrading all major road networks in Uganda.

    Over the last  ten (10) years, Alice has been instrumental in the drafting of various legislation and regulations of the Laws of Uganda including but not limited to: the Insolvency Bill 2011, the Counterfeit Goods Bill 2007, the Optometry Bill, the amendment to the Stage Plays and Public Entertainment Act Cap 49, the Regulations of the Stage Plays and Public Entertainment Act.

    Alice is currently the Chairperson of the Female Lawyers Chapter of the Uganda Law Society. She is also the representative of the Central Region (Uganda) on the Executive Council of the Uganda Law Society.

    She also serves as the Uganda Country Leader for Legal Business Women For Africa (LABFA), a multi jurisdictional network of women transactional lawyers and corporate leaders in Africa and beyond. The network connects female corporate professionals, financial experts, lawyers, policy makers to mention but a few, to share knowledge, educate and mentor each other.

    In January 2015, she was awarded a Commonwealth Fellowship to work at Hogan Lovells LLP in the United Kingdom.

    In July 2015 she was appointed as the Deputy Treasurer of the Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowship Alumni Association of Uganda.
