He joined the firm from a career of professional distinction commenced in the Ministry of Justice’s Department of Public Prosecutions in 1975 where, by the time he left to join KATS in 1982, he was head of criminal prosecutions.
He has been involved in the practice of law for almost 50 years, primarily as a litigator and is a significant force to contend with at the Bar in Uganda.
His primary areas of expertise lie in the areas of Civil, Commercial and Criminal Litigation and Family law particularly matters relating to Succession.
Samuel is responsible for overseeing and evaluating the progress of KATS litigation matters in criminal and civil law. His primary responsibility in the firm is to ensure that our lawyers effectively represent each client in court matters ranging from straightforward applications to judicial relief in complex cases. Occasionally, on a case-by-case basis, Samuel is called upon to develop showstopping trial strategies and participate in hearings and trials in high-profile cases.
He is a senior member of the Bar in Uganda who continues to handle landmark cases that go on to create legal precedents that contribute to the study and development of law in Uganda.
